O'Driscoll Brothers

SCROLL DOWN

O'Driscoll Brothers

The O’Driscoll Brothers Neil, Cillian and Gareth are the founders of Clash Gaelic games. We come from a tight knit, sports-mad family and still proudly play on the same team for our local GAA Club.

Cillian is the younger of the twins (by 5 minutes!). With two degrees, one in Education and the second in Sports Science, Cillian likes to think he brings a bit of sanity to the chaos that is Clash. However, if you watch closely he is just as likely to be seen waving his hurl like a battleaxe as he is to be heard singing nursery classics like "Head, shoulders, knees and toes". Having represented Dublin as a player and now as a coach, you can be sure that he will satisfy any Clash warriors looking for a challenge and if that's not your cup of tea, there is always his angelic voice!

Neil has been a professional sports coach for years and has played both hurling and Gaelic football at the highest level representing Dublin. His best talent however, is his ability to laugh at himself! He loves nothing more than teaching those who think they cannot be taught. Are you too old? Did you never like sports? Do you hate exercise? Neil is stubborn and prides himself on being able to teach everyone the skills of Gaelic games. You will make mistakes & may look silly but most importantly, you will laugh out loud along the way.

Gareth or ‘Gar’ is the youngest of the O’Driscoll brothers. His main passions in life are the Irish language, hurling and storytelling! An Irish teacher by trade and former University lecturer, he is our expert in Irish folklore and delivers all of his sessions with enthusiasm bordering the insane at times. An afternoon with Gareth will leave people in no doubt that hurling really is the greatest sport in the world and that fairies may actually exist!
